I was introduced to snowmobiling at twelve years old by my father. The sleds of that time were very primitive; requiring lots of body english to keep them right side up and a large supply of parts and tools to keep them running. Between the riding and repairing of our "sleds", a large amount of time was devoted to the sport and sledding became, and still is a bond between my father, brother and I.
After ten years of snowmobiling in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont with my father and brother, a friend introduced me to Quebec. Immediately it was clear to me that Quebec was in fact a very special place. I was struck by the continuity and grooming of the trail system. I began to explore Quebec by snowmobile, learning about the many regions and the nuances of sledding in Quebec.
Over the years my passion for snowmobiling in Quebec has only intensified. In my view, there are a number of different feelings generated by a good day of snowmobiling. For example, sitting before the fireplace at the end of the day, recounting the day with people of different backgrounds and nationalities is one of many. The reaction of my friends as I introduced them to Quebec, confirmed for me that others shared my view.
Throughout the winter of 2003, I began to develop the idea of forming an enterprise for the purpose of marketing professionally guided snowmobile trips in Quebec. From the beginning, my goal has been to create unique and adventurous trips, with an emphasis on exposing our clients to the culture and activities that Quebec is renowned for.
A first class snowmobile adventure is built with many ingredients.
An intimate knowledge of the region is a must for finding the best areas to ride. Knowing how to pick the best hotels and restaurants of the thousands available is important. Practicing and teaching safe snowmobiling techniques are critically important. Lastly, paying careful attention to our clients concerns and offering help throughout the process is a large part of what we do.
I believe that we have established the premier snowmobile adventure tour business in North America. I hope that you will provide us with the opportunity to apply our knowledge of Quebec snowmobiling on your behalf.

Hello, my name is Josh Pruitt and like my father, I love snowmobiling and hope to be a guide just like him. I am presently 17 years old and have been driving snowmobiles for the last five years alongside my dad. Prior to driving, I rode around 10,000 miles as a passenger. I absolutely love to snowmobile and if I could I would spend weeks at a time riding.
After riding as much as I have, there are certain stops and trails that really stand out in my mind as the best. A favorite place of mine is the Auberge Carcajou. It is a family run Inn that serves some of the best French food you will ever eat, all in a beautiful log cabin that the family built themselves. My Dad makes sure that nearly every trip stops there, since many of our returning guests’ request it. Conveniently, one of my favorite trails is right in front of the inn, which is trail 328. This trail combines moderate turns with fast-pace sections to really get your heart and adrenaline pumping. For flat out cranking, trail 93 to Chibougamau can’t be topped.
The majority of our trips start in a town called Saint- Raymond, where we stay at a hotel called the Hotel Roquemont. Over the years, this hotel has become almost a second home to my dad and I. The people who work at the hotel seem as if they are your own family and the food there is also something I enjoy.
Snowmobiling in Quebec is one of life’s most amazing adventures because of its unique culture and care for those that choose to ride there. My Dad is an expert on the riding in Quebec along with all of the luxuries it has to offer.
